I tweeted this question and got a resounding YES. Guys can and do fake it. From what I gathered, it’s not a frequent occurrence or anything but sometimes they just get tired or find themselves inside unfulfilling cooch. So, they make the appropriate noises and roll over. Most women don’t make it their business to check soiled condoms for proof of purchase so I think men find it pretty easy to get away with.
